‘I have no issues with Speaker Dogara’ – Gov. Abubakar

Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has said that he is not at war with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara. Speaking in Abuja yesterday, Abubakar said, “the so-called rift” is the handiwork of political jobbers, whose stock in trade was to create disagreements between leaders. According to him, ‘’Yes, it is very true that some crooks and selfish politicians are bent on making it impossible for us to live in harmony and that is their stock in trade. They proffer even imaginary theories and continue to paint a picture of hell just to cash in and feast on the situation for their selfishness and survival; this is not only bad but also ungodly.
“However, it looks as though that is not new in our kind of politics. Indeed, it is very much happening in most if not in virtually all of our states in Nigeria. You see, history is a lesson. In our state of Bauchi, for example, one would recall in succession how bosom relationships went sour: Ajiya Adamu of blessed memory and the then governor, Ahmadu Mu’azu; then Governor Mu’azu and the immediate past governor, Isa Yuguda; then Governor Yuguda and Senator Bala Mohammed.”
